Vital Radio 108 – Hour 2: Cyberpunkers

| August 4th, 2010 | 3 Comments »

The “Cyberpunkers” project took off in 2006, and was a result of the passion for Cyberpunk culture. The format aims at giving a fresh start to the cyberpunk subculture through four different, yet connected, forms of art: Electronic Music, Fashion, Design and Photography. In a nutshell, they’re all about a transposition of the Cyberpunk world into a modern clubbing setting.

Through several performances at big name clubs, The Cyberpunkers started to get noticed.  The buzz grew, partly for their original look (the mask thing), and partly for the originality of their shows – which are Live PA’s with the boys using two consoles at once along with other various audio machines.

The Cyberpunkers have been featured in some of the largest electronic European festivals. Despite their heavy touring schedule, they still manage to pump out tune after tune.

The Masked Heroes of Electronic Music

| May 17th, 2010 | 2 Comments »

It all began with a duo known as Daft Punk. Mysterious, talented and just plain bad-ass, they set a trend that still influences artists today. In recent years, with the reincarnation of Daft Punk since Coachella 2006, many Electro and Nu-Disco/Indie Dance artists are popping up following the same style code: never (or at least rarely) showing their faces and rockin’ crowds wearing masks. Below are a list of some of my favorite Masked Heroes of Electronic Music.
